I am a new member (my company changed plans from United Healthcare) as of 01/01/2026, and I have not yet received my ID card, so I do not have any existing member ID or group number or anything, yet I need to provide this information right now to a health care provider. How can I find the required information about my coverage? This seems like the most common and important question, yet I cannot find it anywhere on the BCBSMT site. Shouldn't I be able to look up my info using my name, employer, SS#, etc. ?

Hello all,

Does my BCBSMT plan cover emergency care if I’m treated outside Montana? Just need a clear yes/no and any conditions.

I’ve searched the FAQs and my “Summary of Benefits & Coverage” but couldn’t find clear information about out-of-state emergency coverage for members whose plan is based in Montana. Could someone clarify:

Can't find explanation of benefits in account

Greetings Blue Cross,

I was told I Would receive an explanation of benefits in my BCBS account but I don't see it at all. It was during a stay at the hospital. Where in my account are those documents located please?

I had a little accident when I visited the flower market in Amsterdam in Holland, but I had international coverage activated back then. Maybe the data wasn't transferred to my account?

How do I get an EOB?

EOBs are sent periodically and many don't get to my mailbox. I need one for services performed on 12/23/22, and I asked a BC/BS agent for a copy. She said it will be sent in the mail, but when I ask for one, it never shows up. Can I get one online?

I have been getting the run around on these funds and they informed me that they will expire at the end of December if you don't get in touch with me immediately I will look elsewhere for an health insurance that will tell me the right way to find what I am looking forward too I will also be asking Medicare why last year my deductable was only $5500. And in 2022 I had to keep paying until myself and my extra help had paid over $11,000. I feel like I am not being taken care of by you..

It appears a colonoscopy IS covered fully as preventative care. If they find anything (ie; polyp), is the colonoscopy still covered in full? Is the removal of anything at the time of the colonoscopy billed covered, as well, or billed separately? I understand and expect diagnostics of anything removed to be billed separately, but wanted to be prepared regarding the other questions. Thank you.
