How to Get the Most Out of your Medicare Advantage Plan

Start with these steps:

• Plan your Annual Wellness Visit. With no copay and no cost to you, the annual wellness visit is a great way to take charge of your health, ask questions and get tips from your doctor. Bring your Annual Wellness Visit Checklist. You and your doctor can use it as a guide during your visit.
• Join the Rewards Program*. As a Blue Cross Medicare Advantage^SM member, you may be able to earn a gift card when you have your annual wellness visit, get a flu shot, and complete other healthy actions. To begin, complete your easy registration.
• Join Blue Access for Members℠. BAM is your one-stop online source for details about your health, claim status and benefits. You'll also find user-friendly health and wellness tools. Register online using your member number on your member ID card.
• Sign up for SilverSneakers^®.  It's a fun, energizing well-being program that helps active adults take greater control of their health through physical activity, education and social interaction. The program is offered as a benefit to Medicare-eligible members of participating health plans.
• Call 24/7 Nurseline. Feeling under the weather? Our nurses can answer your health questions. They can also help you decide if you should go to an urgent care center, the ER, or your doctor’s office. Plus, when you call, you can access an audio library of more than 1,000 health topics — from allergies to surgeries — with more than 500 topics available in Spanish.
• Check your plan's drug formulary. We’ve made it easy to get information about your Blue Cross Medicare Advantage prescription drug coverage. Our Drug Finder tool lets you see the full list of medicines covered by your health plan benefits. You also can access your plan’s pharmacy directory to find an in-network or preferred pharmacy near you.
