Jalapeno Chicken Burger

Ingredients: Makes 8 serving

Entrees

8 Sprays Nonstick Cooking Spray
1/2 tsp Kosher Salt
1/8 tsp Ground Black Pepper
2 pounds Ground Chicken
1/2 cup Yellow Onions, Diced
2 TBSP Fresh Jalapenos, Minced
1/4 cup Fresh Cilantro, Chopped
8 Whole Wheat Hamburger Buns
1 TBSP Olive/Canola Oil 90/10 Blend

Directions

  1. Saute onions in olive oil until translucent, add cilantro and jalapenos, remove and chill thoroughly.
  2. Add the mixture to the ground chicken and blend. Add salt and pepper.
  3. Hand form into 4oz. patties and refrigerate until ready to cook.
  4. Cook burgers on griddle that is sprayed with nonstick pan spray to internal temp of 165 degrees.
  5. Place on 2.75 oz wheat bun and serve.

Note: Once patties are formed they may be placed in the freezer for a few minutes to firm up, this will make them easier to handle.
